Atlas Comics is the brainchild of Jeff Stevens and was created in 2002. The mission of Atlas is to pay homage to comics' roots in a tongue-in-cheek way, and at the same time introduce adult-oriented material with a cast of MIXED RACE and MULTI-ETHNIC characters, groups whose representation has traditionally been sorely lacking throughout comics' history.
